With children at home for at least another four weeks, I wanted to pass along a few online resources that offer both entertainment and learning value. Best of all, most of these are educational resources that are free or offering reduced membership rates due to the mass amount of school closures.

Please let me know if I missed any of your favorite resources! Happy learning!

Outschool: Live, online classes for ages 3 – 18. Class costs vary, but free resources are available at the time for educators, families, and students.

Khan Academy: A nonprofit with the mission to provide free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. Material available for ages 2 – 18, Khan is a powerful tool recommended by top educators.

ABC Mouse: An online learning academy geared towards kids between the ages of 2 – 8. In addition to a free 30 day trial, ABC Mouse is currently offering 49% off their annual subscription.

Scholastic: From pre-k all the way through the 9th grade, Scholastic offers day-by-day projects that will keep kids thinking, reading, and growing.

Time: Time for Kids recently released their entire digital library for free through the end of the school year. Geared towards grades K – 6th, this is a great learning opportunity to take advantage over the next few months.

PBS Kids: In addition to educational games and videos, PBS Kids has also started providing parents with daily activities & tips to help kids play and learn at home.

BrainPOP: Helping curious learners stay informed and on-track, BrainPOP is providing free access during school closures.
